Hello, I’m Huali Qu. I am an Industrial Designer with a background in Product Design from ArtCenter College of Design and Industrial Design from Dalian University of Technology. My practice balances rational thinking and artistic sensitivity, allowing me to approach design as problem-solving, storytelling, and emotional communication.
I believe in Reasonable Design — a way of working where every decision, from concept to detail, is made with intention and reason. I care about why each form, material, color, and detail is chosen, and how it supports function, emotion, usability, and the overall story.
As a sensitive and emotionally attentive person, I notice subtle feelings within human-product, human-environment, and human-to-human interactions. To me, design is a way of observing the world, absorbing from life, and transforming those experiences into work that feels thoughtful, purposeful, and human.
